Job Purpose

  • Assist the Operations Manager in site General Cleaning activities and prevent any mishaps from happening which could affect the daily operation.
  • Safely operating a vehicle and ensuring that the vehicle remains in compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as company standards.
  • Work Location is at the ETC Office, Penang Branch

Key Responsibilities

  • To assist the Manager/Supervisor in coordinating and arranging manpower and equipment needed to carry out duties.
  • Safely transporting company staff as well as various products and materials to and from specified locations on time.
  • Ensuring that the company vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking to avoid towing.
  • Keeping the company vehicle clean and properly maintained by performing regular washing, cleaning and vehicle maintenance.
  • Providing accurate time records of the company vehicle’s coming and going.
  • Reporting any accidents, injuries and vehicle damage to management.
  • To inspect work performed to ensure conformance to specifications and establish standards.
  • To train cleaners in janitorial methods and procedures and the proper operation of equipment.
  • Issue cleaners with the necessary cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure work quality and timely delivery of services.
  • To always inform the manager of the progress of each work given to them. To report and consult on any incidents and matters to the executive before making decisions.
  • To make sure all staff under the care of the Team Leader report to him upon completion of each task given. To set a minimum and maximum timeline on all given tasks and make sure they have been monitored accordingly.
  • To attend to the complaint or arrange for cleaners to attend to it.
  • Fully involved in daily operation and all ad hoc and major cleaning schedule events, as well as periodic cleaning such as (Floor Scrubbing/buffing, High Pressure Wash, Pipe leakage Cleaning, Sanitation and Space Sterilization) as per instructions from management.
  • Carry out any other assignment as assigned by management from time to time.
  • To monitor, manage and care forthe company’s assets (e.g., machinery, equipment and tools) that are assigned for his/her site usage.


Authotiries

  • To report Zone Executive / Operation Manager if any staff are found violating company rules.
  • Issue a reminder to cleaners to follow the daily work schedule, periodic work schedule & HSE procedure.
  • Authorized to issue a stop work order to cleaners or subcontractors in relation to HSE violations.
  • To monitor, manage and care for the company’s hostel that is allocated for his/her or his/her team to stay (if any).

Requirements

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • GDL Driving License 
  • Minimum SPM
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the operation & cleaning related industry.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Understanding of O&M standard practice.
  • Able to lead a small group of employees and provide necessary guidance and direction. 
  • Interact well with personnel at all levels within the organization, suppliers, subcontractors, customers, etc.
  • Ability to read/write in Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Demonstrate responsible behavior and independence.
