KJTS Group Berhad has announced a collaboration agreement between its wholly owned subsidiary, KJ Technical Services Sdn Bhd, and China Construction Yangtze River Malaysia Sdn Bhd. The agreement sets a clear framework for both parties to work together on the identification, development, bidding, and execution of data centre and infrastructure projects in Malaysia, as well as selected regional and international markets.
This collaboration brings together two distinct but complementary areas of expertise across the project lifecycle. KJ Technical Services Sdn Bhd contributes its strengths in cooling and heating systems, energy management, facilities management, and long-term operations and maintenance. These capabilities are critical in ensuring energy-efficient and reliable performance, particularly for data centres where cooling systems directly impact operational stability and cost.
China Construction Yangtze River Malaysia Sdn Bhd will take the lead on civil and structural works, architectural, construction works, and overall project coordination where required. This provides the foundation for seamless project delivery, from design through to completion.
The collaboration reflects KJTS Group’s strategy to expand its presence in the data centre and infrastructure segment. Demand for data centre capacity continues to grow across the region, driven by digitalisation, cloud adoption, and increasing data usage. At the same time, project owners are placing greater focus on energy performance, reliability, and long-term operational efficiency.
By combining engineering expertise with construction and delivery capabilities, this collaboration positions both parties to respond more effectively to these requirements. It supports a more integrated approach to project execution, where system design, build quality, and long-term operations are aligned from the outset.
The Group continues to prioritise partnerships that strengthen its ability to deliver end-to-end solutions. This includes extending its role beyond engineering into long-term operations and maintenance, where consistent performance and lifecycle cost management are key considerations for clients.
