KJTS Group Berhad has further strengthened its presence in Thailand through four new 20-year agreements with subsidiaries of Central Plaza Hotel Public Company Limited, expanding a relationship that began with a single Centara property in 2024.
Secured through KJTS Group’s Thailand subsidiary, KJTN Engineering Company Limited, the agreements cover retrofit works, operation and maintenance services, and chilled water supply for four more Centara properties.
These are Centara Reserve Samui, Centara Hotel Hat Yai, Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket and Centara Karon Resort Phuket.
Under the four agreements, KJTN Engineering will receive approximately RM48.9 million in fixed operation and maintenance and chilled water supply fees over 20 years.
The agreements also include approximately RM4.2 million in contract and purchase consideration for retrofit works under three Design, Build and Operate agreements.
KJTN Engineering will invest approximately RM7.2 million in capital expenditure across the four projects.
KJTN Engineering previously undertook three chiller plant and district cooling projects for the group. The expansion to four additional hotels reflects the confidence developed through these previous projects. The approach is focused on creating value for customers while building a stronger base of recurring income for KJTS Group.
Cooling infrastructure is critical to hotel operations. These assets operate every day and require reliable performance and effective long-term management.
Through the latest agreements, KJTN Engineering will support the four hotels through retrofit works followed by long term operation and maintenance services and chilled water supply.
The objective is to support the hotels in operating their cooling infrastructure more efficiently over the long term.
The Group attributed the higher quarterly revenue primarily to increased contributions from its Energy Services segment following the commencement of recently secured contracts. The new Centara agreements are expected to contribute positively to the Group’s earnings and net assets over the contract period, barring any unforeseen circumstances.
The expansion of the Centara partnership supports KJTS Group’s broader strategy of building a regional energy services business supported by long-term customer relationships and predictable revenue streams.
The Group combines engineering expertise with energy management and operational capabilities developed over more than four decades.
Thailand remains an important market for KJTS Group alongside Malaysia and Singapore. As businesses across the region place greater emphasis on operating efficiency, energy costs and sustainability, KJTS Group continues to develop opportunities to support customers in improving the performance and efficiency of their critical building infrastructure.
The four new Centara agreements represent another step in KJTS Group’s expansion in Thailand and strengthen its portfolio of long-term energy services contracts.
