Electrical Engineer (Based in Muar, Johor)

Operation & Maintenance | Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Job Purpose

  • Assist the Operation & Maintenance Manager in the operation and maintenance activities for the respective site and to implement energy conservation program to support organization revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as Site Leader when requested by the management.
  • Attend to customer complaints within 1 hour receiving work order.
  • Responsible for investigating, implementing, corrective action, monitoring, verifying the effectiveness as well preventive action to customer complaints.
  • Assist in coordinate day to day operations of the site including determining needed repairs and improvement to most effectively meet the energy conservative program.
  • Prepare and compile monthly report and minute of meeting in accordance to client’s requirements.
  • Implements departmental budget.
  • Analyze site equipment, specifications and drawings in view to ensure the operation and maintenance work can be performed undisturbed.
  • Compile all additional works or variation orders.
  • Manage and monitor all sub-contractors, ensuring all work performed are according to specifications and requirements.
  • Maintains inventory of spare and repair parts, consumables and tools.
  • Attend to operation and maintenance co-ordination meetings and correspondences.
  • Assist in preparing, compiling and recording operation and maintenance data such as work order summary, temperature profile, chiller plant daily reports etc.
  • Assist O&M Manager to log and control all O&M drawings / documents of external origin.
  • Supervise and coordinate defect rectification work.
  • Report and act on quality issues which needs corrective and preventive action.
  • Maintain operation and maintenance quality records.
  • Comply to the company’s ISO quality policy, objectives and departmental objectives.
  • Ready to be 24 hours on-call status for project and facilities emergencies.
  • Compile and ensure staffs compliance to all operation and maintenance procedure and guidelines.
  • Carry out any other assignment as assigned by management from time to time.

Requirements

Qualification : Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or equivalent

Experience : Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in engineering field preferable HVAC

Knowledge and skills required includes:

  • Understanding engineering standard practice
  • Good fundamental Engineering knowledge in HVAC
  • Knowledge of computer software - MS Office & AutoCad
  • Demonstrate responsible behavior and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
  • Good technical report writing skill.
